Diora
Baird might be relatively new to Hollywood, but she's quickly catching
on. "Everybody has a card that says they're a producer," observes the
Miami-born model. "I learned very quickly that if a producer wants to
have dinner with me, he doesn't want to cast me, he wants to f-- me. If
he wants to call my manager and set up a meeting, then that's another
thing. You know what I mean?" Sadly, we do. So much for the $500 we
spent on making fake business cards.
Diora Baird's mixture of sexiness and savvy is certain to take her far. Since
2004, she has been cast in over 10 films and has shared the screen with
Owen Wilson, Carmen Electra and Jordana Brewster.

Despite her growing fame as a
model and actress, Diora Baird is remarkably down to earth. Diora Baird has worked as
a pre-school teacher, a nanny, a clown, and even on construction sites.
In fact, Diora Baird met her manager when she was sent to paint his newly
constructed deck. "I'm like, 'Hi'" Diora Baird recalls, reenacting their first
meeting. "He's like, 'Are you an actress?' I'm like, 'Duh.' He's like,
'Well, I don't know. Maybe you could put on a little makeup or
something.'"
If Diora Baird weren't one of Hollywood's most promising actresses, Diora
Baird
admits: "I'd probably be teaching, or I'd be somewhere off in Georgia on
a farm and have like five kids."
No longer painting decks, Diora Baird has been able to focus her energy on
acting instead. Although most of her roles have been relatively small
non-speaking ones, Diora Baird was given a chance to prove herself when Diora
Baird was cast in 2006's teen comedy Accepted. Of this role, Diora Baird said, "[My
character] is this girl who's trying to trying to change her life
around. Diora Baird dropped out of high school, became a stripper... and now she
wants to go to college And so I get to go. Then I become like the
fashion designer and design the school uniforms." We sincerely hope they
don't go below the knee.
In addition to enjoying a thriving career as a model, Diora Baird has also
proven herself on the big screen. Diora Baird began her career appearing in
low-budget films like Brain Blockers (2004), Deep Down in Florida (2004)
and First Kiss (2005). These productions may not have been glamorous,
but they did pave the way for her role in 2005's hit comedy, Wedding
Crashers. In 2006, Diora Baird was cast in Vegas Baby, Hot Tamale, Fifty
Pills, South of Heaven, and will more than likely continue to appear
several of your most intimate dreams. |
